This day was Beau's birthday.
I was all ready to shoot this beautiful little lady being born, until she surprised us all! After dragging her tiny toes for many hours she suddenly decided to appear out of nowhere in a matter of minutes. I arrived at the hospital only a few more minutes after Beau had been born naturally in the pool; although obviously a little disappointed that we had misjudged the timing of the crucial moment, what an incredibly beautiful scene to walk in on.
I was so, so happy for Sally and Ed and so excited to meet little Beau, that any other feelings of disappointment just melted away. She really is a perfect baby girl and I couldn't have wanted any more than the privilege of meeting her in the first hour of her adventure into life.
